I start out with nothing particular in mind, and after a few weeks of spare time painting it, I arrive nowhere in particular. I could go on painting this one picture for a long time, making it more and more complex, and I would enjoy doing that, but the painted surface gets rough from so much painting over and redoing things that it becomes difficult to get the fine detail. So I decide to take the party to another canvas; the painting goes on forever. This painting is 16 by 20 inches in size.
